Our Own Sustainability

For us at Sidmon Sports, sustainability means that in everything we do, we always try to find a way to act as ecologically and ethically as possible. For more information on the sustainability of our own operations.

Our sustainability criteria:

During fall 2021 we have updated the sustainability criteria we use to choose.

Based on this set of criteria we have conducted an extensive sustainability questionnaire to all the brands we represent.
 

The questionnaire includes questions regarding:

  • Product materials
  • Used chemicals
  • Packaging
  • Product lifecycle
  • Ethical manufacturing
  • Climate actions

GLOBAL STANDARDIZATION

Sustainable business policies and practice. Sidmon Sports aims to establish a global code of conduct for sustainable business policies and practices based on the principles of:

– Human rights 

– Labor standards 

– Anti-corruption

All of these principles have to be applied by:

– Managers and employees throughout the company 

– All suppliers 

– All business partners

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Sidmon Sports is aware of the threat to the climate and the depletion of natural resources. Sidmon Sports products and technologies contribute to energy efficiency and environmental protection. As a manufacturing company, Sidmon Sports is committed to conserving natural resources. Wherever we build or modernize our factories, environmental protection is the top priority. We keep emissions as low as possible and minimize the effects on humans and nature. In addition, our work processes and working environment are designed to require as little energy and as few raw materials as possible.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION


Sidmon Sports gives the highest priority and commitment to better sustainable practices that will lead to a greener and healthier planet. Before embarking on this environmentally friendly journey, we established a clear strategy to inculcate into our corporate culture, clear and healthy business practices. As a result of our efforts, we have been successful in reducing our carbon and water footprint, decreasing our energy consumption, and lowering our wastage. These actions besides supporting our sustainability drive have also helped reduce our costs while improving our productivity.

All light fixtures have been converted to LED technology which saves 70% energy from the conventional system.

All types of machinery are installed with inverters to reduce torque load and eventually run the load.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Safety in the workplace is a top priority at Sidmon Sports. That is why we have developed our own EHS guidelines through international health & safety standards which are to be followed at all times. Aiming to improve occupational health and safety for its employees, Sidmon Sports has developed a series of measures to ensure the company complies with national and international standards:

Initiative

– By helping to design workflows and processes, employees can identify hazardous situations in good time.

Identifying and avoiding hazards

– Continuous, systematic review of the effects of products on people and the environment as early as in the development stage.

– Timely implementation of preventive measures, if necessary.

Compliance with requirements

– Monitoring of compliance with country-specific legislation and the company’s own EHS guidelines at all times

HEALTH PROGRAMS

Sidmon Sports ensures the safety and well-being of all its employees. Free medical camps are organized at our facilities annually. Complete health checkup of every employee is conducted including eye testing. Necessary vaccinations are also provided free of cost to all employees during the medical camp. Medical checkup of all our employees is mandatory at the time of hiring. Medical checkups are provided at a subsidized rate through a factory contracted medical lab.
